Marc started volunteering as a coach with the Aggies in 2015. Marc was born & raised in Hayward and attended Hayward Public Schools, including graduating from Hayward High (Go Farmers). After high school he went on to attend Cal State Hayward & obtain a degree in Kinesiology which would allow him to become a PE teacher & coach football. His passion for football started at a young age & unfortunately Hayward didn't have a local youth football team accessible so he had to wait until high school. His commitment to the Aggies is a strong one & driven by his belief that all kids should have an opportunity to play the game they love while learning life skills, discipline & sportsmanship. Marc volunteers countless hours with the Aggies & is part of the Hayward High Alumni Group. Thanks Coach Marc!
Long time Aggie supporter Rosa has been a member of the Hayward Aggies organization since our start! Rosa has a strong belief that in addition to a coach & mentor the youth today need to see positive outcomes & role models on and off the field. Rosa has 3 athletic boys that play Baseball at Mt. Eden Little League and of course football with the Aggies. Rosa's past contributions with the Aggies make her a perfect fit to be the Director of Operations where she helps to coordinate & oversee many areas of the Aggies such as Team Mom's, Program Compliance & the general functionality of the program. Rosa works full time for the school system & we cant thank Rosa enough for her current, past & future contributions!
Lavell started volunteering with the Aggies as an Assistant Coach & quickly became Head Coach & Athletic Director. He was instrumental in developing the relationship between Hayward High & the Aggies which led to the Aggies becoming the feeder team for Hayward High. Lavell loves everything the Hayward community stands for. He graduated from Hayward High & also played Farmers Football (pictured below sorry Vel 😜) He also served in the US Marine Corp & served our country for 20 years! Lavell started coaching when his son was 7, he is now 21, a sophomore in college & still playing football 🏈 We asked Lavell why he enjoys coaching & his response shows why he is such an important part of the Aggies team, "I enjoy coaching, especially the younger kids, because of the challenge. It's very important to me that a childs first year of tackle football be positive & taught with the correct fundamentals. The fact that I'm doing it with my friends and former HHS teammates is a plus. Anyone can coach talent, but it takes a special coach to develop talent and get the most out their kids. My motto is "If you can teach it, they can learn it." Thanks Coach Lavell for your strong commitment to the Aggies & our country for which you served
